Transformative practice is deep practice. It is intentional activity committed to for extended periods of time with the purpose of empowering transformation. Transformative practice gives us greater awareness of our habitual behaviors and our personal gravity (that which holds us back). It also promotes access to our spiritual depths and helps reveal the light of our true Self (that which moves us forward). Far more than a hobby or something you dabble in, transformative practice is a way of living, of engaging life each day.
Transformative practice helps you, the Deep Coach, become a transformational presence. The quality of your being and the quality of the space you hold is determined by the depth of your practice. The more light you have, the more light you can bring to others.
Each one of the nine Deep Coaching practices is a transformative practice (and there are many others out there to choose from). Each one, by itself, has the capacity to radically shift your inner state of awareness and engagement. If you were to practice just one of them each day with great intention and attention for three months or more, your life will change is meaningful ways.
For example, the DC practice “Let there be silence.” This is not only for within the coaching session itself, it is a transformative practice with great value for the coach and client to work with if deep transformation of the self is desired. Silence creates inner space for connection with the deeper self.
What practices are you currently dabbling in?
If there is a practice that calls to you, one you have been doing sporadically but not committed to, make it a transformative practice. Why hold back from committing? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
